| Potomac Vintage Riders sponsors the North Atlantic AHRMA Cross Country Series, which generally has at least eight events per season. The races are usually held in conjunction with the North Atlantic AHRMA MX Series. Each race is held on a closed loop woods course that is a minimum of three miles long. The format is for each rider to complete as many laps as they can within a hour in their respective class. The XC classes are very similar to that of the MX classes, and whatever your MX skill level is, that will follow to the XC classes. These races are limited to only Vintage and Post-Vintage bikes built prior to 1983. The series is the fastest-growing form of vintage competition in the region and appeals to a wide array of riders. Competitors may come from enduro, hare scrambles, trials or motorcross backgrounds. It also is open to riders who have never had any competitive experience whatsoever. For more information and race schedules, please see the North Atlantic AHRMA Cross Country website at: www.ahrma-northatlantic.org/CrossCountry.html |
