Welcome to the home of the Potomac Vintage Riders
PVR is a versatile group with its members involved in all forms of vintage motorcycling, including motocross, cross-country, dirt track, observed trials, road-race or just-for- fun street riding. The club annually sponsors multiple vintage events ; PVR is the sponsor of the AHRMA North Atlantic vintage motocross and cross country series. The club also promotes trials events in the Mid-Atlantic Trials series and annually sponsors a road ride through the Virginia countryside. PVR also is the sponsor of a January vintage motorcycle swap meet in York, PA, one of the largest indoor events of its kind. Its membership roster extends throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. PVR meets monthly for business and socializing, alternating between Maryland and Virginia with occasional social events in neighboring states. New members always welcome.
Save the Date. PVR’s Annual Swap Meet and Auction; York (PA) Expo Center; January 18 through January 19, 2014.. Tentatively, the auction is January 18th, the swap meet, January 19th. Check back for further details on vendor registrations, other pertinent information.
The club’s annual meeting/holiday party for members and families will be held Saturday, Dec. 21; 4 PM at Chevy’s Mexican restaurant on Gallows Road in Falls Church. Remember that all members who renew for 2014 will get a special treat from Santa. And renewal is just $20 if you do it before the party. The only item of business on the agenda is the election of officers for 2014. If you (and guests) plan to attend, drop an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Many thanks to all who came out and enjoyed the 2013 Potomac Vintage Road Ride in Marshall, VA. While the weather was not perfect, the event was was well received and many brought out an impressive array of vintage machinery. Check out some of the bikes at the 2013 Road Ride below.

The Eastern Museum of Motor Racing, York Springs, PA and the Potomac Vintage Riders present an Exhibition: The Early History of Motocross Racing in the U.S.
Opening April 6 – October 2013. Hours of the museum are from 10AM – 4PM Friday through Sunday.

The Potomac Vintage Riders annual bike show and swap meet, featuring the first-ever motorcycle and parts auctions, was a huge success. The event featured a record number of vendors and bike show entries.
The bike and parts auctions, orchestrated by Steve Dance Auctions, drew big crowds and spirited bidding. The auction will become an annual feature.
Many thanks to all the vendors and a special thanks to all the enthusiasts who made the trek to York, PA.
We’ll see you again in January, 2014.

On October 13, 2012 Wayne Miller hosted a group of PVR members and their families for the annual Una-Miller ride. Members wound down the 2012 riding season with laps on Waynes vintage friendly grass track.
Members brought out a wide variety of machinery: everything from Can-Ams to restored elsinores, Ducatis and Triumphs.
Once riders had their fill of riding, Wayne fired up the grill and cooked up food for the group.
