Welcome to the home of the Potomac Vintage Riders
The Potomac Vintage Riders motorcycle club was formed in the fall of 1999 by a group of local enthusiasts in the Washington, DC area. We are an AMA sanctioned and AHRMA affiliated motorcycle club.
PVR is a versatile group with its members involved in all forms of vintage motorcycling, including motocross, cross-country, dirt track, observed trials, road-race or just-for- fun street riding. The club annually sponsors multiple vintage events ; PVR is the sponsor of the AHRMA North Atlantic vintage motocross and cross country series. The club also promotes trials events in the Mid-Atlantic Trials series and annually sponsors a road ride through the Virginia countryside. PVR also is the sponsor of a January vintage motorcycle swap meet in York, PA, one of the largest indoor events of its kind. Its membership roster extends throughout the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. PVR meets monthly for business and socializing, alternating between Maryland and Virginia with occasional social events in neighboring states. New members always welcome.

For 2014, we will be combining our annual Road ride and Ironman events to coincide with the PVR club picnic. The Road ride is open to all riders on vintage bikes and will begin in the NOVA/DC area and wander through the picturesque Potomac countryside and end up at Tomahawk MX Park in West Virginia. At the same time, vintage off road riders will be assembling and participating in the annual Ironman event. This will allow members from all disciplines to get together for an early fall afternoon and enjoy a brew and barbeque feast hosted by Bill and Eva for the PVR Club Picnic.
We have had several requests to move this event to a Sunday so, this years event will be held on Sunday, September 28th at Tomahawk MX Park in Hedgeville, WV
More details to follow from Road ride chair, Mike Perry and Ironman chair, Brian O’Connor.

The next club business meeting will be held on Saturday September 6th at the Coyote Run Cross Country event in Ebensburg Pa. Dave will be cooking up another great pig so after everyone is full we can sit down and discuss club business. I think this will be a good opportunity for the members that live north of the traditional meeting area’s the opportunity to participate. I will get an agenda together before then and as always there will be an open discussion for any new business or suggestions.
We will return to the VA MD area in October with the next business meeting the weekend of the 11th. More to come on that meeting later please save the date.
